“De grenzen van de stad strekken zich uit tot de omliggende heuvels van de baai die tot 520 m boven zeeniveau reiken (bij Mont-Leuze). De 3 hoofdwegen die Nice met Italië verbinden, lopen door Villefranche. Het belangrijkste (grootste) strand van de stad is Plage des Marinieres (aan de noordkust van de baai) dat zich 1 km uitstrekt langs de spoorlijn die Nice met Italië verbindt. Plage de la Darse (kiezelstrand) ligt achter de belangrijkste steiger van de haven van La Darse.
